Incentives

Toastmasters International runs three membership building programs for clubs during the program year. Each asks a club to add five new, dual or reinstated members with a join date inside a fixed window:

• Smedley Award — August 1 to September 30

• Talk Up Toastmasters — February 1 to March 31

• Beat the Clock — May 1 to June 30

A club that qualifies receives a ribbon to display on its club banner, and can also earn a special discount code for 10% off its next club order.

Applications and payments must be received at World Headquarters, or submitted online, no later than the closing date of the window. Transfer and charter members do not count towards credit. Toastmasters.org publishes the current rules and the lists of qualifying clubs.
